This Shadow Box is just darling...created using vintage postcard artwork, ribbon, tinsel and yes a coffee filter!  Great for sister, mom, aunts..etc.
Beautiful Christmas artwork, crepe paper, felt and silver tinsel are what we will use to create this Pink Christmas Cone with the pretty little bird perched on top! For an extra special touch I plan on adding a little bag of bird seed to mine.
This lazy little Santa Helper is just
sitting around looking cute on this vintage
pixie ribbon dispenser.  Made of pinecone
chenille stems, felt and a little wooden head.
He would be darling sitting on
any desk or window seal.

Toy Drive

....held here at my home was  a Class/ Toy drive. Those who attended were ask to bring a Toy instead of the regular class fee.  The toys collected will then be taken to the
Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City.

 Allison and Kim....

I was so thankful that so many women were able to attend.  With it being the Sunday before Thanksgiving we still had ten creative ladies ready to get started on their holiday decorating.

 Judy and Lynn ....so cute....
concentrating on those letters!!

Lynn choose to use blue crepe paper around
the edge of her Santa Door Badge....making it
a red, white and blue.  She said she was doing so in honor of her daddy who is a Veteran.

I'm Thankful for Creative Women!

Fall Thanksgiving Wreath Project

Tonight was my first class in
such a long time.  The group of women that
came tonight were so creative and
just a pleasure to be around.

   Precious sisters Rita and Bobbie,
who is visiting from Nashville.

This is Kim, I have known her since
she was 5 or 6 years old.  Can't believe
she's all grown up married and now coming to
creative craft classes....along with her mom.

Such a sweet group of ladies...
and creative too!!

Bobbie, Rita and the ever so
talented Allison.  Who drove
for over a hour to come to the class.
Be sure and check out her darling blog:

We had a wonderful evening creating
our Fall Thanksgiving Wreath.
Everyone's wreaths were just gorgeous!!

Fall Wreath Class

After seeing Martha Stewart the other night on
Jay Leno....she said we have totally forgotten
about Thanksgiving decorations.
I think she is right....
It got lost somewhere in between....treat or trick and Christmas morning.
So, when deciding what to do for my upcoming class after Halloween....I didn't go straight to Christmas Decorations...no...instead I decided on this.....

This is a simple fall wreath using a straw wreath, rich jewel tone felt, fall leaves and feather embellishments.

To reserve and pre pay for your class ......
See top right side bar to make payment using paypal. Thank you.

"There's a little pumpkin coming!"

Next weekend I am hosting a baby shower here at the house.  Since it is fall....my theme is pumpkins.
This will be the guest book area.
This is how my day started out.

This sewing machine cabinet, was what I thought was a great find off of Craigslist.  I was so thrilled..the sewing machine inside had the special ruffler attachment.
Once home...it did not work.  The repair estimate was for more than a new machine.  Mister Mister
removed the broken machine and painted the cabinet white for me.

I then added fabric and jute trim to the faux  drawers.  Now just an accent piece.
Making lemonade out of lemons....
that's what it's all about!

I have had this sweet chair forever.
One of my most favorite pieces.

I am still not finished with the framed burlap.
Thinking of stenciling "Welcome" over the top
of the smaller frame.

The day of the shower....I need to think of something clever to replace the 31.....any ideas?

The vintage screen door and awning have been outside all summer.  It was a great back drop for our shade garden area.

See you again in the Spring.
Please visit the parties listed here and  in my sidebar join in the fun....

Simply White

When bringing out my Halloween boxes I noticed these white pumpkins I bought years ago.  I'm sure I had some wonderful idea.."haha" planned for them.

Does finding forgotten things years later, feel like they are free to anyone else?  Well, it does to me.... and I am  glad I didn't get around to using them then.

They are made from a foam product and are light weight, they are so easy to work with.
I used items from around the house to embellish each pumpkin.
I choose to wrap one with a white polka  dot ribbon,  the other glued strands of pearls along the vertical lines and covered the last one with a round crochet table scarf.

I love the sweet clean look....
.now off to finish the entire vignette.

If you are out browsing....please stop by these great parties...so much creativity!!
